The National Agency for Food and Drugs Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has unveiled a comprehensive database for registered drugs in Nigeria titled NAFDAC Greenbook.
The Greenbook provides information on 6,432 registered pharmaceutical products in the country to combat the proliferation of counterfeit pharmaceutical products and boost transparency and drug safety in the country.
The database is accessible at https://greenbook.nafdac.gov.ng/ and can be downloaded on mobile app stores, making crucial drug information available to the public. It has also streamlined drug information to aid healthcare professionals in making informed decisions on prescriptions and dispensation of medicines.
